"Partnering with horses...To make a difference in the lives of children and adults".
We at CCTRC spend our days working with Children and adults alike with physical, mental, emotional, behavioral, social and spiritual needs. We also spend our days with horses. It just so happens that combining the two can be an incredible benefit to all involved. For instance: Our riders, whether children with autism or adults with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) experience incredible benefits from interaction with our horses as well as interactions with other riders and our wonderful staff. Sure there's a scientific side to this but you'll have to go back up to the menu and click on "Therapeutic Riding" to get that information. The discussion here is for and about people. People who need our love and compassion as well as assistance in traversing this big complex world of ours. Assistance with day to day life that others accomplish without thought. Young kids who are at odds with normality who just need to be normal. Not to mention the child's parents who need that sense as well for their child and themselves. We are talking about kids. Just plain old every day kids that are different in physical and maybe mental ways but kids that just need to be kids nonetheless. We are also talking about adults. Men and women who might have lived with these types of issues their entire lives yet are missing that feeling much like the children. We are also talking about Men and Women who have experienced some traumatic event that requires a special circumstance to assist them in managing or overcoming it. We are also talking about Men, Women, Boys and Girls who have physical challenges that require some assistance to regain mobility or maybe even gain it for the first time.
We welcome you to our world! We love our world. Our world is hard work. It's hard work for everyone involved. But, at the end of the day, we are all better for it! Come, join us. Jump out of this website world and into our world of friends. Our friends are the families that share their burdens with us. our friends are the children who often cannot see or speak. Our friends are veterans that have served our country of which we are so proud to be a part of. Our friends are those who volunteer their time and their donations to see that people in need are not forgotten or abandoned but are brought up along side and given the chance to be "one of the guys". These are our heroes! These are our friends. This is our calling!
